El Tesoro Blanco is an unaged, additive-free tequila made at La Alteña distillery in Jalisco, one of the last producers to follow the fully traditional process.
Don Felipe Camarena founded La Alteña in 1937, and the family tradition continues today.
Estate-grown blue Weber agave is cooked in ovens for about three days, crushed with a tahona wheel, fermented in open wooden tanks and double distilled in copper pot stills. It is bottled right after distillation.
