Misadventure is a vodka made from surplus baked goods instead of grain or potatoes, bottled at 40% ABV with no added sugar.
Co-founders Sam Chereskin and Whit Rigali launched it in 2017 to cut food waste, picking up surplus bread and pastry in San Diego each week.
The starches and sugars in baked goods supply the base for alcohol, and the vodka is naturally smooth with a gentle sweetness.
