Jack Daniel's Single Barrel Tennessee Rye is a Tennessee rye whiskey with a grain bill of 70% rye, 18% corn and 12% malted barley, bottled from a single barrel at 94 proof.
It was the third release in the Jack Daniel's Single Barrel Collection, after Single Barrel Select and Barrel Proof, and the first new grain recipe in a century. The whiskey ages in the upper regions of the barrelhouse.
The profile is clean and sweet at the tip of the tongue, with ripe fruit, light toasted oak and spice, and a slightly shorter, more distinct finish than other Single Barrel offerings.
