2XO The Vinyl Blend is the sixth limited release in 2XO's Icon Series, a small-batch Kentucky straight bourbon from master blender Dixon Dedman, bottled at 104 proof (52% ABV).
Each Icon Series blend is a one-off release with its own name and story, and this one will never be duplicated. The Vinyl Blend is an ode to Dixon's love of enjoying his favourite music on classic vinyl with a 2XO neat. It brings together two proprietary mash bills, a high-rye bourbon of about 35% rye and a moderate-rye bourbon of about 18% rye, with part of the high-rye bourbon double barrelled in new charred oak for heavy wood sweetness balanced against a vibrant rye-forward backbone.
The nose offers baked apple, graham cracker and cinnamon, the palate is full and rich with brown sugar, baking spice and toasted oak, and the finish is long and peppery, with a super-silky mouthfeel.

Bourbon must be made in the United States from a mash of at least 51% corn and aged in new charred oak containers, and straight bourbon must be aged at least two years. Those rules give bourbon its characteristic sweetness, with caramel and vanilla drawn from the charred barrels.
