Al Nabaa Special Reserve is a premium triple-distilled craft arak from the Kawar Distillery in the Galilee, made from grape spirit and Syrian anise and bottled at 90 proof (45% ABV).
Kawar Arak El-Naba'a owes its name and its unique flavor to the water from the legendary spring of Nazareth. The Kawar family has produced arak for three generations: Iskandar Kawar made the first Kawar arak more than 70 years ago, his son Baheeg opened a store in Nazareth in 1950, and grandsons Anan and Alaa turned the family craft into a modern distillery in the Tsiporit industrial zone in the Galilee, with its own research and development laboratory and strict quality control.
The distillery makes arak, brandy, vodka and wine from Galilee grapes, Syrian anise and other high-quality raw materials, and its spirits have won international awards. The Special Reserve is the brand's more elevated expression: a triple-distilled anise spirit built on grape wine alcohol and hand-selected natural aniseed, presented in a gold-labeled bottle.
Distilled from the finest quality anise, it is complex and refreshing, with a smooth, bold licorice flavor. Compared with the standard bottling, the Special Reserve has a richer mouthfeel and a bolder anise character, and it is certified kosher.
Serve it the traditional way: diluted with cold water over ice, which turns it into a dense, silky, milky louche. It is the classic partner for mezze, from hummus and grilled meats to fresh salads, and perfect for any occasion.
