ARTA Extra Añejo is a 100% Blue Weber agave tequila from the family's single estate in Arenal, Jalisco, aged five years in a triple-barrel process and bottled at 40% ABV (80 proof).
It spends about three years in American white oak, then roughly two years split between French cognac and Spanish sherry casks before the barrels are reunited.
The agave is hand-harvested by eleventh-generation jimadors.
ARTA launched it as a limited reserve, with only four batches and about 1,000 bottles in the first release.
Its angular bottle wrapped in a skull-and-agave artwork label makes it a showpiece, and the long, layered ageing makes it a rich sipping tequila for collectors.
