Atanasio Reposado is an additive-free 100% blue Weber agave tequila rested for three months in American white oak ex-bourbon barrels and bottled at 40% ABV.
It is produced by Familia Landeros in El Medineño, Jalisco (NOM 1599), under maestro tequilero René Carranza. Mature agave is cooked in an autoclave, crushed with a roller mill and fermented naturally in the open air before two distillations in stainless steel pot stills. The brief rest in oak introduces light vanilla, dried fruit and gentle wood while keeping the agave at the centre.
The nose offers agave, delicate vanilla and dried fruit. The palate brings cooked agave with light oak, vanilla and hints of baking spice, and citrus carries through a soft finish.
