The Avión Silver Sipping Collection pairs a 750ml bottle of Avión Silver, a 100% blue agave single-origin tequila from the Jalisco Highlands bottled at 80 proof (40% ABV), with two sipping glasses in a ready-to-give gift pack.
Avión Silver is the purest expression of Avión: unaged and bright, with every flavor coming from small-batch Highlands agave and the distillation itself. It is crisp, fruit-forward and smooth, and it has been rated 92 points by Wine Enthusiast.
The agave aroma is intense, with herbal hints of mint and rosemary and delicate flowers and black pepper. On the palate, zesty lime and grapefruit lead into agave and pepper, with subtle notes of grapefruit and pineapple lingering through the finish.
With two glasses in the box, it is a complete gift for any tequila lover.
Blanco tequila is bottled unaged or rested for less than two months, so it shows the agave at its purest: bright, peppery and fresh. It is the classic choice for margaritas and palomas, and a good blanco is just as rewarding sipped neat.
Tequila can only be made from blue Weber agave in five designated Mexican states, chiefly Jalisco, and the finest bottlings are made from 100% agave. Sipping tequila is best enjoyed from a narrow-rimmed glass that concentrates the aromas, at room temperature and without salt or lime, so the character of the agave and the barrel can come through.
