Bardstown Bourbon Company Lochs of Jura Barrel Finish is a limited release, launched in August 2026, that rests a mature blend of American whiskeys for 32 months in casks that held single malt Scotch from the Isle of Jura. It is bottled at 104 proof.
The blend brings together 49% 11-year-old Indiana bourbon, 30% 10-year-old Indiana rye and 21% 12-year-old Kentucky bourbon. For the finish, 84% of the Jura casks were ex-bourbon and 16% ex-sherry. It earned 99 points, the top American whiskey score, at the 2026 International Wine & Spirit Competition.
The nose brings vanilla crème, blackberry compote, fresh mint, toasted oak and cigar box. On the palate come fresh spearmint, rich caramel, light cinnamon, ripe fruit, soft malt and a subtle Scotch-influenced smoke, and the finish is long and rounded, with fruit-forward sherry notes, caramel, oak, spice and a lingering maritime character.
