It explores the harmonious combination of three distinct liquid profiles. Kentucky straight rye provides a firm base of spicy rye, rich oak, dried fruit and subtle molasses. Canadian rye from the award-winning Alberta Distillery is layered in, adding depth to the dried fruit and a more viscous mouthfeel than a traditional rye. Finally, a touch of California port is blended in directly to add juicy, ripe fruit without muddying the wood notes.
The aroma is oaky, with dark berry fruit and molasses sweetness. The palate brings a complex mix of caramel, dried fruit, oak and warm spice with a rounded, creamy mouthfeel, and the finish lingers with dried fruit, subtle rye spice and gentle sweetness.
