Bib & Tucker Gold Roast is a 6-year-old Tennessee bourbon finished with whole Arabica coffee beans from Muletown Coffee Roasters, bottled at 92 proof (46% ABV).
Gold Roast begins with Bib & Tucker's award-winning 6-year bourbon, made from a signature mash bill of corn, rye and barley, filtered through sugar maple charcoal in the Lincoln County process and aged in new charred American oak. In the final maturation stage, the bourbon is cold-steeped with a proprietary Arabica coffee roast from Muletown Coffee Roasters, a Tennessee purveyor of fine coffee, crafted to carry the coffee's richness without overpowering the delicate bourbon. It joins the Classic Six and Double Char in Bib & Tucker's core lineup.
Aromas of molasses, sweet corn, gentle spice and freshly brewed coffee lead to milk chocolate, caramel, toffee and vanilla on the palate, moving from caramel-kissed macchiato to darker espresso, with a drying finish of chocolate.
The embossed amber bottle makes it a great gift for coffee and bourbon lovers.
Bourbon must be made in the United States from a mash of at least 51% corn and aged in new charred oak containers, and straight bourbon must be aged at least two years. Those rules give bourbon its characteristic sweetness, with caramel and vanilla drawn from the charred barrels.
Coffee and bourbon share roasted, caramel flavors.
Serve it neat after dinner like a dessert pour.
It also works in an Espresso Martini twist.
Pair it with chocolate desserts.
