Bisquit & Dubouché VSOP is a smooth and mellow Cognac with an everlasting finish, appreciated for its subtle interplay of aromas, bottled at 80 proof (40% ABV) in a 375ml bottle.
As a VSOP, it is aged at least four years in oak, and the house uses an extended heart cut during distillation, leaving the cut to the tails later than other Cognac houses; the longer heart run produces a distillate with more flavorful esters. The result is a fruity, spicy and generously flavored VSOP, robust enough to stand alongside some XOs and to pair with a cigar.
Rich aromas of apricot, honey, cinnamon, clove and rose petals fill the nose. The palate brings a harmonious blend of honeysuckle, citrus and mango, and leathery, nutty, woody rancio notes are amplified in the long finish.
A Cognac revealing new notes with every sip.
Cognac must be made from white grapes grown in the Cognac region of France, double distilled in copper pot stills and aged in French oak, with age categories such as VSOP and XO describing the minimum age of the youngest brandy in the blend.
It also shows dried apricot, vanilla and toasted oak with floral hints, and a velvety mouthfeel of honey, ripe plum, spice and subtle caramel, making it ideal neat, on the rocks or in elevated cocktails.
