Branson Royal VSOP is a Cognac from the house created by Curtis "50 Cent" Jackson, aged a minimum of four years in French oak and bottled at 80 proof (40% ABV), presented in its striking red bottle.
It is blended by fifth-generation, family-run producer Cognac Raymond Ragnaud, which has been distilling in the Grande Champagne since 1860. Branson Royal is a unique, elegant and strong blend of eaux-de-vie from some of the best vineyards across the Cognac region, mainly from the Petite Champagne and Borderies appellations, aged in French oak from Allier, Limousin and Tronçais for a soft finish.
Fit for a king, Royal balances smooth notes of oak, vanilla and spice with stronger notes of wood and herbs. The nose is elegant, with dried fruit, vanilla and toasted oak, floral honey and light spice. The palate is smooth and well rounded, with dried apricot, caramel and warming oak spice, and the finish is long and warming, with lingering dried fruit and vanilla.
Its bold red bottle makes it a statement gift.
Cognac must be made from white grapes grown in the Cognac region of France, double distilled in copper pot stills and aged in French oak, with age categories such as VSOP and XO describing the minimum age of the youngest brandy in the blend.
