Bumbu XO is a handcrafted Panamanian rum aged up to 18 years in ex-bourbon barrels and selectively finished in Spanish white oak sherry casks, bottled at 80 proof (40% ABV).
Created from scratch by Bumbu's master distiller from locally grown Panamanian sugar cane, XO is the more refined, sipping-focused sibling of the original Bumbu. The long rest in bourbon barrels builds depth, and the sherry-cask finish adds richness and balance.
Smooth, rich and complex, it opens with toffee, toasted oak and vanilla. On the palate come orange zest, peppery spice and a hint of coffee, and it finishes smooth with vanilla and pepper.
The black bottle with its embossed cross-bones makes a bold gift.
