Casa Dragones Añejo Barrel Blend is a 100% blue agave sipping tequila made from two styles of añejo, one aged in new French oak and one in new American oak, then artfully blended, bottled at 40% ABV in a 375ml bottle.
Each oak is selected for its individual flavour and character, and blending the two creates an expression of wood and agave unlike any other, with infinite richness and an agave-forward profile that is both elegant and smooth.
It pours a light caramel, bright and shiny. The aroma is fresh and floral, with pear, figs, almonds, juniper and pine nuts; the taste brings macadamia, nutmeg and blackberry; and the long, round finish carries cacao and spicy black pepper. It was a Food & Wine Top Pick in 2020 and has earned 95 points from Wine Enthusiast and a Double Gold at the San Francisco World Spirits Competition.

Añejo tequila is aged between one and three years in oak barrels of no more than 600 litres, long enough to add colour, sweetness and spice while keeping the character of the agave, which makes it a natural sipping tequila.
Tequila can only be made from blue Weber agave in five designated Mexican states, chiefly Jalisco, and the finest bottlings are made from 100% agave. Sipping tequila is best enjoyed from a narrow-rimmed glass that concentrates the aromas, at room temperature and without salt or lime, so the character of the agave and the barrel can come through.
