Casa Maestri Reposado is a 100% blue agave tequila rested eight months in whiskey barrels, presented in the brand's signature hand-decorated ceramic bottle and bottled at 40% ABV.
Casa Maestri is the flagship brand of the female-led Casa Maestri Distillery, founded and run by Celia Maestri. The ceramic bottles were designed by Celia Maestri with the Guadalajara ceramic artist Oscar Reynoso Becerra and carry Mexican culture throughout: the charrería, the mariachi and the romance of Mexico's heritage. The profile was designed by Michael Maestri with the tequila expert Ana María Romero.
Made with traditional methods, seven-year-old blue agaves are cooked in old-fashioned stone brick ovens. The reposado is clean and grassy with buttery cooked agave, apple, citrus, light tropical notes and vanilla, smooth and viscous on the palate with anise, cinnamon, clove, a hint of coconut and pronounced pepper, through a medium-plus finish.

Reposado, meaning rested, is tequila aged between two months and a year in oak, which gives it a pale gold colour and a gentle touch of wood while keeping the agave bright and lively.
Tequila can only be made from blue Weber agave in five designated Mexican states, chiefly Jalisco, and the finest bottlings are made from 100% agave. Sipping tequila is best enjoyed from a narrow-rimmed glass that concentrates the aromas, at room temperature and without salt or lime, so the character of the agave and the barrel can come through.
