Cazcanes No. 7 Joven is an additive-free, 100% blue Weber agave tequila blending four age categories into one layered expression, 59% blanco, 13% reposado, 26% añejo and 2% extra añejo, bottled at 40% ABV.
It is produced at NOM 1614 in Amatitán, Jalisco, from organic agave, with natural volcanic spring water from Navichi Springs. The blend is assembled by taste rather than a fixed formula, so each batch reflects its own balance.
As a joven, it captures the fresh, herbal energy of a blanco alongside the oaky depth of aged tequila, with a complex, wild profile and a rich, oily texture.
A boutique, highly rated tequila, it makes a fine gift.
Sip it neat, or use it in an elevated margarita.
Joven tequila blends unaged blanco with aged tequila, bringing together the brightness of fresh agave and the roundness of oak in one glass.
Tequila can only be made from blue Weber agave in five designated Mexican states, chiefly Jalisco, and the finest bottlings are made from 100% agave. Sipping tequila is best enjoyed from a narrow-rimmed glass that concentrates the aromas, at room temperature and without salt or lime, so the character of the agave and the barrel can come through.
Amatitán, in the Tequila Valley, is one of the historic heartlands of tequila making, and lowland agave from the area is known for its earthy, herbal and peppery character.
