Cazcanes is a boutique tequila producer that works in harmony with the land, the environment and the natural spring that supplies its distillery, crafting tequila by hand from start to finish. No. 9 is its higher-strength blanco, a full-flavoured expression of 100% agave that has won Double Gold at the San Francisco World Spirits Competition, including Best Tequila and Best Unaged White Spirit, two years running.
The nose shows floral notes with sweet agave and candy corn. The taste is clean and earthy, with sweet agave, black pepper and anise, and the finish is extremely smooth, long and sweet, with floral and black peppercorn notes.

Blanco tequila is bottled unaged or rested for less than two months, so it shows the agave at its purest: bright, peppery and fresh. It is the classic choice for margaritas and palomas, and a good blanco is just as rewarding sipped neat.
Tequila can only be made from blue Weber agave in five designated Mexican states, chiefly Jalisco, and the finest bottlings are made from 100% agave. Sipping tequila is best enjoyed from a narrow-rimmed glass that concentrates the aromas, at room temperature and without salt or lime, so the character of the agave and the barrel can come through.
