Cazcanes No. 9 Rosa Blanco is a limited-edition tequila made by placing Cazcanes' Still Strength Blanco (54% ABV) in first-fill French oak casks that held Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon for 31 days, then bottling it at 100 proof (50% ABV). Only one batch is made each year.
Cazcanes No. 9 is the brand's high-proof line, made from fully mature, certified organic blue Weber agave harvested in the valleys of Jalisco and produced in Amatitán under NOM 1614. The agave is cooked slowly in a low-pressure autoclave, its juice extracted with a four-pass roller mill, and mineral-rich volcanic spring water from Navichi Springs is used throughout production. It is additive-free, organic and kosher.
The brief rest in Cabernet casks gives the blanco a blush pink hue, with fresh agave, delicate floral notes and a hint of red berries.

Blanco tequila is bottled unaged or rested for less than two months, so it shows the agave at its purest: bright, peppery and fresh. It is the classic choice for margaritas and palomas, and a good blanco is just as rewarding sipped neat.
Tequila can only be made from blue Weber agave in five designated Mexican states, chiefly Jalisco, and the finest bottlings are made from 100% agave. Sipping tequila is best enjoyed from a narrow-rimmed glass that concentrates the aromas, at room temperature and without salt or lime, so the character of the agave and the barrel can come through.
