Louis Roederer Collection 243 is the house's 243rd blend, a multi-vintage Champagne built on the 2018 harvest, bottled at 12.5% ABV.
It blends 42% Chardonnay, 40% Pinot Noir and 18% Meunier.
About 59% comes from the ripe, warm 2018 vintage, with wines from Roederer's perpetual reserve, started in 2012, and oak-aged reserve wines adding depth.
Collection replaced Brut Premier as Roederer's signature non-vintage cuvée.
It is a rich, balanced Champagne, ideal for celebrations and fine dining.
Champagne can only come from the Champagne region of north-eastern France, and it gains its bubbles from a second fermentation in the bottle, the traditional method. Non-vintage cuvées are blended from several harvests so that each house can keep its signature style consistent from year to year, and they rest on their lees for at least fifteen months before release.
