Charbay is run by the Karakasevic family, who have been making small, handcrafted releases of wine, ports, brandies, spirits and liqueurs in California since 1983, when they began distilling in the US. Master Distiller Marko Karakasevic leads the distillery today.
It takes 90 days to create the purest extract of blood orange and mandarin, using 100% fresh fruit, which is then blended with Charbay's vodka. Because the fruit is fresh rather than artificial, the color and flavor come straight from the citrus itself. The number 90 on the label marks those extraction days per batch.
