Chopin Potato Vodka is the vodka Chopin is renowned for and the world's most awarded potato vodka, distilled from Polish potatoes at the family-owned Chopin distillery in Krzesk, Podlasie, and bottled at 80 proof (40% ABV) in a one-liter bottle.
Chopin was one of the first vodkas to make the case that vodka should taste like what it's made from, and its single-ingredient family includes potato, rye and wheat. Potato was the original, launched in the U.S. in 1997, and its distinctly earthy, full-bodied profile makes it, in Chopin's words, simply the best choice for a Martini. Distilled entirely from Polish potatoes, it has a fuller, creamier body than grain vodkas.
A subtle green apple and vanilla nose leads to a creamy, earthy taste with a full-bodied mouthfeel, and a long, clean finish with no burn. Silky and off-dry, it also shows hints of toasted nut and a finish of sweet cream and nougat.
Best chilled and neat, or in a classic Martini.
Chopin's ingredients are cultivated farm to bottle in Poland's fertile Podlasie countryside and distilled using simple methods handed down through six centuries. The distillery dates back to the 19th century and was acquired by the Dorda family in 2003, and its vodkas are distilled four times before being blended with artesian well water.
The one-liter bottle keeps the Martini supply ready.
It is also a smooth base for a Vodka Tonic or a Moscow Mule.
