Cincoro Añejo Cristalino is a 100% blue Weber agave tequila aged for more than 20 months in Tennessee whiskey barrels and then filtered to remove its colour, accentuating vibrant notes of citrus, agave and fruit. It is bottled at 40% ABV.
Cincoro was founded by five friends who share a passion for basketball and tequila, and its name joins cinco, five, with oro, gold. The cristalino process keeps much of the depth of an aged tequila while giving it the clarity of a blanco, for a bright, elegant sip.
Expect clean, zesty agave with citrus and fruit, layered over the soft vanilla and caramel sweetness of its time in oak.
Presented in Cincoro's signature tall, silver bottle and gift box, it is a striking gift and centrepiece.
Serve it chilled or over a large ice cube.
Añejo tequila is aged between one and three years in oak barrels of no more than 600 litres, long enough to add colour, sweetness and spice while keeping the character of the agave, which makes it a natural sipping tequila.
Tequila can only be made from blue Weber agave in five designated Mexican states, chiefly Jalisco, and the finest bottlings are made from 100% agave. Sipping tequila is best enjoyed from a narrow-rimmed glass that concentrates the aromas, at room temperature and without salt or lime, so the character of the agave and the barrel can come through.
