Código 1530 Reposado combines the pure taste of Código's Blanco with six months of ageing in Napa Cabernet Sauvignon French white oak wine barrels, bottled at 80 proof (40% ABV).
Código 1530 follows time-honoured customs with no added chemicals, flavourings or sweeteners, to keep the rich flavour of Los Bajos agave. It uses only fully matured blue Weber agave and Amatitán water from freshwater pools and rainwater, filtered through the volcanic soil of Los Bajos. A proprietary chopper extracts only the best juice and pulp from the first press of the agave for the purest flavour.
The wine barrels enhance the agave while adding hints of French oak, with vanilla, toasted caramel and subtle cocoa, and a refined tannin structure with a darker fruit note. It won Gold at the 2022 SIP Awards and Silver at the 2022 San Francisco World Spirits Competition.

Reposado, meaning rested, is tequila aged between two months and a year in oak, which gives it a pale gold colour and a gentle touch of wood while keeping the agave bright and lively.
Tequila can only be made from blue Weber agave in five designated Mexican states, chiefly Jalisco, and the finest bottlings are made from 100% agave. Sipping tequila is best enjoyed from a narrow-rimmed glass that concentrates the aromas, at room temperature and without salt or lime, so the character of the agave and the barrel can come through.
