Comisario Añejo is a 100% pure blue Weber agave tequila from Arandas, Jalisco, in the heart of the highland golden triangle, aged 23 months in American oak whiskey and Cabernet barrels and bottled at 40% ABV.
It is made from the whole heart of fully mature agave, and nearly two years in a combination of whiskey and red wine barrels gives it a pale golden amber colour and a layered, dessert-like profile.
Buttercream, dried papaya, caramel custard and nougat lead the aroma. The entry is supple and silky, leading to a dry yet fruity, medium-to-full body with grilled pepper, mineral and mocha accents, and a long cocoa and pepper-spice finish with balanced warmth.

Añejo tequila is aged between one and three years in oak barrels of no more than 600 litres, long enough to add colour, sweetness and spice while keeping the character of the agave, which makes it a natural sipping tequila.
Tequila can only be made from blue Weber agave in five designated Mexican states, chiefly Jalisco, and the finest bottlings are made from 100% agave. Sipping tequila is best enjoyed from a narrow-rimmed glass that concentrates the aromas, at room temperature and without salt or lime, so the character of the agave and the barrel can come through.
