Compass Box Nectarosity is an American oak-forward blended Scotch whisky from the independent blending house Compass Box, bottled at 92 proof (46% ABV) with natural colour and no chill filtration.
Part artistry, part alchemy, Nectarosity brings honeyed fruit and toasted oak straight from the Compass Box Blending Room. Special American oak barrels are deployed twice: custom virgin oak casks from a Missouri cooperage, with a proprietary toast and char, are first used to impart sweet spice to grain spirit, which finishes maturing in other casks, and once prepared, the barrels go on to age malt whisky. Most of the blend matures in first-fill bourbon casks.
Eleven whiskies come together, with grain from Cameronbridge and Girvan and malts from Clynelish, Balmenach and Linkwood. It joined the Compass Box core range in 2024. Expect zesty honey, poached pears, nectarine and lychee, vanilla and toffee, with a sweet finish touched by cinnamon.
A playful, flavourful blend, it shines in classic cocktails and even boilermakers, and makes a bright, cheerful gift.
Scotch whisky must be distilled and matured in Scotland for at least three years in oak casks, and any age statement on the label refers to the youngest whisky in the bottle.
