Cooperstown Distillery Rollie Fingers Elite Edition is a 100% New York State straight bourbon whiskey, hand-picked by Hall of Fame pitcher Rollie Fingers and bottled at 100 proof (50% ABV).
Made from local grains, it uses a proprietary four-grain mash bill of 65% corn, with oats, rye and barley making up the rest, and is aged in new charred oak barrels as a premium small batch. Rollie selected it as his personal preference, to celebrate his career and the greatness of all those in Cooperstown alongside him.
It delivers clove, allspice, burnt caramel, butterscotch and honey.
Presented in a baseball-shaped bottle bearing Rollie Fingers' signature, it is a true collector's item for bourbon and baseball fans alike.
Sip it neat or over a large ice cube.
Bourbon must be made in the United States from a mash of at least 51% corn and aged in new charred oak containers, and straight bourbon must be aged at least two years. Those rules give bourbon its characteristic sweetness, with caramel and vanilla drawn from the charred barrels.
Four-grain bourbons add both a small grain like oats and rye to the classic corn base. Oats bring a soft, creamy texture, while rye adds the spice that shows up here as clove and allspice. Cooperstown, home of the Baseball Hall of Fame, gives this bottle a story every baseball fan will appreciate.
