Corralejo Añejo is an award-winning 100% blue Weber agave tequila from Hacienda Corralejo in Guanajuato, double distilled and aged twelve months in an artfully selected mix of oak barrels, bottled at 80 proof (40% ABV).

Corralejo is one of the few tequilas produced outside Jalisco. The historic Hacienda Corralejo in Pénjamo, Guanajuato, dates to 1755 and is the birthplace of Miguel Hidalgo, the father of Mexican independence. The estate-grown agave is hand-harvested, double distilled using the centuries-old Charentais method, aged and then bottled in-house at the hacienda. The Añejo is presented in the brand's iconic tall red bottle, a color signifying prosperity in Mexico, and it is the finest example of the house's craft.

Pale gold in color, it offers oak with hints of cocoa, vanilla and peppercorn on the nose. The palate brings oak, caramel, cooked pear, white peppercorn and cardamom spice, and the finish is luxurious and full-bodied.

A true sipping tequila with deep historical roots.

Añejo tequila is aged between one and three years in oak barrels of no more than 600 litres, long enough to add colour, sweetness and spice while keeping the character of the agave, which makes it a natural sipping tequila.

Tequila can only be made from blue Weber agave in five designated Mexican states, chiefly Jalisco, and the finest bottlings are made from 100% agave. Sipping tequila is best enjoyed from a narrow-rimmed glass that concentrates the aromas, at room temperature and without salt or lime, so the character of the agave and the barrel can come through.
