Crystal Head was founded in 2008 by Canadian actor and comedian Dan Aykroyd and American artist John Alexander, who set out to make a pure, additive-free vodka. Fascinated by the legend of the thirteen crystal skulls, Alexander designed the iconic skull bottle, an accurate rendering of a human skull and one of the most complex bottles on the market; its glass is made in Europe with bits of crystal melted in for absolute clarity.
The vodka is made from Canadian corn, distilled four times and blended with pristine Newfoundland water, then filtered seven times, three of them through layers of semi-precious quartz crystals known as Herkimer diamonds. It contains no added glycerol, citrus oils or sugar, and it is gluten-free and kosher certified.
