Deanbury debuted in California in 2021 as a locally distilled super-premium vodka, launching with a first run of just 100 cases. Its founders, self-described vodka superfans, were looking for something super-premium but crafted locally in California; when it did not exist, they decided to distill their own in small batches. New limited runs are announced through the brand's social media, part of its aim to shake up the vodka category.
Made with several white-glove touchpoints, each batch is distilled 20 times during the California summer, crafted exclusively from American grain and filtered through carbon for a distinct smoothness that works on the rocks or in a classic cocktail. Each bottle is hand-labeled and sealed. The bottle, designed by Christian Bjurinder, wraps its name in a bold orange font and was made to look as good on a bar cart as it tastes in the glass.
On the nose it shows a delicate touch of sweetness, leading to a clean, smooth palate and a crisp finish.
