DeGroff Bitter Aperitivo is an Italian-style bitter aperitivo created by cocktail legend Dale DeGroff with absinthe distiller T.A. 'Ted' Breaux, bottled at 25% ABV (50 proof).
It is handcrafted entirely from natural botanical ingredients, including fruits, roots, flowers and leaves, with absolutely no artificial ingredients or colours.
It is finished with glacier-fed spring water from Mount Hood, Oregon's highest peak, and made at Clear Creek Distillery, part of Hood River Distillers.
The masterful balance of flavours gives it a bold yet sultry profile, offering bartenders and cocktail enthusiasts an exciting option for classic mixology.
It is a natural choice for the Negroni and the spritz.
Vermouth is an aromatised wine: a base wine fortified with neutral spirit and flavoured with botanicals, traditionally including wormwood, which gives the category its name from the German Wermut. Once opened, it should be kept in the refrigerator and enjoyed within a few weeks, as the wine base slowly loses its freshness.

How to Enjoy It
DeGroff Bitter Aperitivo is made for the Negroni: stir equal parts with gin and sweet vermouth over ice and garnish with an orange peel. It also makes a Boulevardier with bourbon, an Americano with sweet vermouth and soda, and a bright bitter spritz with prosecco and soda water. Try it in a Jungle Bird with dark rum, pineapple and lime, or simply over ice with tonic and a slice of orange. Pair it with olives, salumi, salted almonds and Parmigiano. Keep the bottle in a cool, dark place after opening.
