Dewar's White Label is a double-aged blended Scotch whisky from John Dewar & Sons, a smooth, honeyed blend of up to 40 malt and grain whiskies, bottled at 80 proof (40% ABV) in a generous 1.75L bottle.
Dewar's traces its roots to 1846, when John Dewar established his blending business in Perth, Scotland. White Label, the house's flagship blend, draws its backbone from the Aberfeldy distillery in the Highlands, combined with a selection of Highland, Speyside and Lowland single malts along with grain whiskies.
What sets it apart is double aging. The whiskies are matured, blended, and then aged again, marrying for around six months in oak casks so that all the flavors intertwine. The result is a blend built for smoothness, consistency and balance.
White Label is honey- and vanilla-forward, with supporting notes of ripe pear, citrus and gentle oak, and it finishes with moderate warmth and a smooth, clean fade. Lightly sweet and easy-drinking, it is one of the most awarded blended Scotch brands in the world, and earned a Double Gold Medal at the 2020 San Francisco World Spirits Competition.
The 1.75L format is made for parties and well-stocked home bars. White Label shines in the Original Dewar's Highball with soda, on the rocks, or in a Rob Roy, and pairs nicely with brie, smoked salmon and dark orange chocolate.
