Digits is a mature blended bourbon created by NBA Hall of Famer Scottie Pippen and winemaker Dave Phinney, with the youngest bourbon in the blend aged five years, bottled at 90 proof (45% ABV).
Named for Pippen's famously big hands, which grace the label, Digits is a collaboration focused on distinguished, mature bourbon. Each barrel is hand selected for its unique attributes by Dave and Scottie; the barrels are sourced from Indiana and Tennessee and aged at Savage & Cooke on historic Mare Island in California. The mash bill is 75% corn, 21% rye and 4% malted barley. Digits won a gold medal with 97 points at the Sunset International Spirits Competition.
In a true reflection of Scottie, the bourbon is lush, velvety and a pleasure to drink with no hard edges, packed with flavors of vanilla bean, caramel, buttered toast and maple.
The iconic hand label makes it a great gift for basketball fans.
Bourbon must be made in the United States from a mash of at least 51% corn and aged in new charred oak containers, and straight bourbon must be aged at least two years. Those rules give bourbon its characteristic sweetness, with caramel and vanilla drawn from the charred barrels.
Bourbon must be made in the USA from at least 51% corn.
A rye content of 21% adds gentle spice.
A large ice cube keeps it cool without heavy dilution.
It pairs with smoked brisket, pecan pie or dark chocolate.
