Disaronno Originale is the world's favourite Italian liqueur and a timeless icon of the Italian dolce vita, bottled at 28% ABV. It is made by ILLVA Saronno, which is still family-owned, with the Reina family at its core.
It is an infusion of apricot kernel oil with alcohol, burnt sugar and the pure essence of seventeen selected herbs and fruits. Its almond-like flavour comes from the apricot kernels; it contains no almonds.
Its story is tied to the town of Saronno, near Milan, and the recipe has been kept as a family secret. It was known as Amaretto di Saronno until 2001.
It has an intense and persistent fragrance and a sweet, fruity character, complemented by a warming sensation.
Its distinctive bottle with the square cap is a contemporary icon on any bar.

How to Enjoy It
Disaronno is a pleasure on the rocks, and a classic in mixed drinks. Make a Disaronno Sour with fresh lemon juice, a little sugar and an egg white, a Godfather with Scotch, a Godmother with vodka, or a French Connection with cognac. Top it with ginger ale or cola for an easy highball, or add a splash to hot coffee with whipped cream. In the kitchen, it is lovely in tiramisu, almond cakes and biscotti. Pair it with dark chocolate, amaretti and cheesecake. For a gathering, chill the bottle and set out glasses, ice and garnishes so guests can serve themselves. A bottle also makes a thoughtful host gift for a dinner party or the holidays. Keep the bottle in a cool, dark place after opening.
