Doc Holliday 13 Year Armagnac Cask Finish is a straight bourbon from World Whiskey Society, aged 13 years in American oak and then finished in Armagnac casks. It is bottled at 108 proof.
World Whiskey Society released it in August 2025 to celebrate the 174th birthday of the legendary gunslinger and dentist Doc Holliday, on August 14. It was one of four new expressions, and among the brand's first cask-finished releases.
The Armagnac finish layers the fruit and depth of French brandy over a mature Kentucky bourbon. Rich aromas of apricot, baker's chocolate and seasoned oak lead into a silky palate of vanilla, raspberry and caramel, with dried figs, Armagnac-soaked raisins and a touch of leather and pipe tobacco.
The bottle carries an ornate Wild West label in burnt orange and gold, featuring Doc Holliday's portrait and a longhorn skull emblem. It is a fine gift for a bourbon lover or a fan of frontier history.
Sip it slowly to enjoy how the Armagnac and bourbon play off each other. Armagnac is France's oldest brandy, and its casks bring a distinctive fruit-forward richness that pairs naturally with the caramel and vanilla of well-aged bourbon.
