Dom Pérignon Rosé Vintage 2010 is a prestige rosé Champagne blended from 56% Pinot Noir and 44% Chardonnay.
The Chardonnay comes mainly from Chouilly, Cramant and Avize, and much of the Pinot Noir from Verzenay.
2010 was a demanding year: a severe winter and a dry summer were followed by two months' worth of rain falling in two days in mid-August, which brought botrytis to the region's Pinot Noir. A drastic selection in the vineyard kept only the healthiest grapes.
The result is a tense, mineral rosé with notes of cranberry, pink grapefruit, white pepper and chalk.
The vintage is part of Dom Pérignon's long effort to give Pinot Noir more presence, depth and harmony in its rosé, and it balances bold, radiant power with remarkable lightness. Dom Pérignon declares a vintage only in the years it judges worthy, and the rosé is released after many years of ageing on its lees in the house cellars, so it arrives ready to enjoy and able to age for years more.

How to Enjoy It
Serve Dom Pérignon Rosé chilled, around 10 to 12°C, in a large white-wine glass so its red fruit and spice can open. It suits richer dishes than most Champagnes: try it with seared tuna, duck, lamb, mushroom risotto or aged hard cheeses. Open it for an anniversary dinner, a wedding toast or a landmark birthday. Store the bottle on its side in a cool, dark place away from vibration, and chill it for a few hours before opening. A bottle of this standing makes a memorable gift for a milestone birthday, an anniversary, a wedding or a promotion.
