Don Abraham Organic Blanco is a single-estate, certified organic and additive-free 100% blue Weber agave tequila from Amatitán, Jalisco, cooked in stone ovens and bottled at 80 proof (40% ABV).
Don Abraham is made by Tequila Las Américas, a third-generation family-owned agave farm and distillery in the valley of Amatitán. Its blue agave is organically farmed on a single estate in one of the finest growing regions of Jalisco, where soil and weather combine to grow excellent agave. Master growers select only the finest mature plants, which are hand selected, slow-cooked in traditional stone ovens, fermented and double distilled in a strictly controlled, traditional process.
The tropical fruit and agave entry is joined by vanilla and citrus, building to a creamy banana note, with hints of grass and licorice, then fading with lime into a warm white-pepper finish.
The handcrafted blue-and-silver label makes it a fine gift for organic spirits lovers.
Blanco tequila is bottled unaged or rested for less than two months, so it shows the agave at its purest: bright, peppery and fresh. It is the classic choice for margaritas and palomas, and a good blanco is just as rewarding sipped neat.
Tequila can only be made from blue Weber agave in five designated Mexican states, chiefly Jalisco, and the finest bottlings are made from 100% agave. Sipping tequila is best enjoyed from a narrow-rimmed glass that concentrates the aromas, at room temperature and without salt or lime, so the character of the agave and the barrel can come through.
