Don Rico is an ultra-premium tequila brand that uses a traditional, additive-free approach to farming, production and distillation, working with mature Tequilana blue Weber agave sourced from both the lowlands and highlands of Jalisco. It is produced under NOM 1608, and its Blanco, the foundation for every Don Rico tequila, shows cooked agave with hints of citrus, herbs, mint, anise and pepper.
Crafted in the tradition of authentic Mexican reposado, Don Rico rests in American oak barrels that once held whiskey, long enough to coax out warm, wood-kissed character while keeping a light hand, so the bright agave remains the star of the show.
Toasted oak, warm honey and dried fruit lead the nose over an undercurrent of roasted agave, with sweet agave and vanilla standing out. The palate is rich and buttery in texture, with butterscotch, caramel, vanilla, oak, a touch of white pepper and citrus. Clean and silky smooth, it balances rustic agave with refined softness.
