Dos Armadillos Plata is an additive-free 100% blue Weber agave tequila from the high mountain region of Mazamitla, Jalisco, made from agave matured at least eight years and double distilled, bottled at 40% ABV.
It is produced at NOM 1558, and the brand pays homage to the armadillo, a symbol of protection, resilience and transformation in Mexican folklore. Every bottle is an individual work of art, handcrafted from green-tinted crystal, wrapped with a hand-braided rope at the neck and adorned with a detailed metallic armadillo medallion.
Fresh agave, citrus blossom, light minerality and a hint of green herb lead the nose. The palate is bright and clean, with cooked agave sweetness, lime zest and a touch of white pepper on a silky texture, and the finish is crisp and refreshing.
Its handcrafted crystal bottle makes it a striking display piece and gift.
Sip it neat, or shake it into a classic margarita.
Blanco tequila is bottled unaged or rested for less than two months, so it shows the agave at its purest: bright, peppery and fresh. It is the classic choice for margaritas and palomas, and a good blanco is just as rewarding sipped neat.
Tequila can only be made from blue Weber agave in five designated Mexican states, chiefly Jalisco, and the finest bottlings are made from 100% agave. Sipping tequila is best enjoyed from a narrow-rimmed glass that concentrates the aromas, at room temperature and without salt or lime, so the character of the agave and the barrel can come through.
