Dos Artes Doble Barrica 20 is a limited-edition añejo made from 100% blue Weber agave from Jalisco and aged for 20 months in two kinds of wood: ten months in new French oak, then ten months in new American oak. It is bottled at 40% ABV in Dos Artes' hand-painted one-litre ceramic decanter.
Dos Artes, meaning two arts, unites the art of tequila-making with the art of Mexican ceramics, and its decanters are hand-painted collector's pieces. For Doble Barrica, the bottle is finished in deep, dark tones with a raised floral design.
The dual-barrel ageing brings vanilla, caramel, toasted oak, butterscotch, dried fruit and spice, with smooth flavours of butterscotch, dark chocolate and spice on the palate.
The ceramic decanter makes it a striking gift and a display piece once the tequila is gone.

Añejo tequila is aged between one and three years in oak barrels of no more than 600 litres, long enough to add colour, sweetness and spice while keeping the character of the agave, which makes it a natural sipping tequila.
Tequila can only be made from blue Weber agave in five designated Mexican states, chiefly Jalisco, and the finest bottlings are made from 100% agave. Sipping tequila is best enjoyed from a narrow-rimmed glass that concentrates the aromas, at room temperature and without salt or lime, so the character of the agave and the barrel can come through.
