Dos Artes Joven is a limited additive-free tequila blending unaged plata with a reposado rested ten months in American oak and Brazilian amburana wood, presented in a hand-painted ceramic bottle and bottled at 40% ABV in a 1-liter size.
It is crafted from 100% Blue Weber agave by Leon Bañuelos at Tequila Tres Mujeres (NOM 1588), and released as a micro-batch of around 15,000 bottles. Each ceramic bottle is painted by hand, so the bottle becomes a work of folk art in its own right, and the amburana wood brings a distinctive spice uncommon in tequila.
The nose offers bright agave, ginger, lime pith, herbal mint and fresh botanicals. The palate brings crisp blue agave with white pepper, lime zest, caramel-vanilla warmth and soft herbal notes, and the finish is clean and refreshing, with lingering agave and a light, balanced sweetness.
The hand-painted ceramic bottle makes it a showpiece gift.

Amburana is a Brazilian hardwood prized for the warm baking spice, cinnamon and vanilla it gives to aged spirits. Combining a portion rested in amburana and American oak with fresh, unaged plata gives a joven that keeps the vivid agave of a blanco while adding a gentle layer of spice and sweetness.
Additive-free tequila is made without the glycerin, sugar syrups, oak extracts or caramel colouring that regulations otherwise allow in small amounts, so all of its flavour comes from the agave, the yeast, the still and the wood.
