Dos Artes Reposado is a small-batch tequila made from 100% estate-grown blue Weber agave in the highlands of Jalisco, aged over three months in French and American oak and presented in a hand-painted 1-litre ceramic bottle, at 40% ABV.
Dos Artes, meaning two arts, unites the craft of tequila making with the artistry of Mexican ceramics. The tequila is produced at NOM 1480 and aged in a combination of French and American oak barrels, which give it a rich golden hue and a smooth, balanced profile. Each bottle is hand-painted and produced in limited quantities, remaining a keepsake long after the tequila is gone.
The nose offers fresh and cooked agave with hints of vanilla and light oak. The palate is smooth and rich, with caramel, toasted oak and subtle citrus, and the finish is elegant and lingering, with soft agave sweetness.
Its hand-painted ceramic bottle makes it a striking gift.
Sip it neat, or mix it into a premium margarita.
Reposado, meaning rested, is tequila aged between two months and a year in oak, which gives it a pale gold colour and a gentle touch of wood while keeping the agave bright and lively.
Tequila can only be made from blue Weber agave in five designated Mexican states, chiefly Jalisco, and the finest bottlings are made from 100% agave. Sipping tequila is best enjoyed from a narrow-rimmed glass that concentrates the aromas, at room temperature and without salt or lime, so the character of the agave and the barrel can come through.
