Apple du Nord is a spiced apple liqueur from Du Nord Social Spirits in Minneapolis, bottled at 30% ABV (60 proof). Du Nord was founded in 2013 by Chris Montana in his home city, and it is a Black-owned distillery.
Its journey begins on a 66-year-old orchard in Lake City, Minnesota; the apple juice is driven north to the Minneapolis distillery, where it is blended with spirit made from Minnesota corn and lightly spiced with cinnamon, clove and orange peel.
The result tastes of fresh orchard apples with gentle autumn spice, warm and smooth.
It won Silver medals at the Denver International Spirits Competition, the Las Vegas Global Spirit Awards and the American Craft Spirits Awards, and a Double Gold from The Fifty Best.
It is a true taste of the Minnesota harvest, and a cosy gift for autumn and the holidays.

How to Enjoy It
Serve Apple du Nord over ice with a slice of apple, or warm it with hot cider and a cinnamon stick on a cold evening. It makes a cosy apple Old Fashioned with bourbon and a dash of bitters, an apple mule with vodka and ginger beer, and a festive spritz topped with sparkling wine or hard cider. Add a splash to hot tea or a hot toddy, or drizzle it over vanilla ice cream, apple pie or pancakes. Pair it with sharp Cheddar, roast pork, caramel desserts and autumn baking. Keep the bottle in a cool, dark place after opening.
