Dulce Amargura Joven is a blend of 100% blue Weber agave reposado and añejo tequilas, presented in a collectible hand-painted ceramic decanter. It is made at Tequila Tres Mujeres (NOM 1466) in El Arenal, in the Los Valles region of Jalisco, and bottled at 40% ABV in a generous one-litre size.
Dulce Amargura means bittersweet, and each decanter is individually painted with colourful agave-inspired artwork and traditional Mexican motifs, so the colours and details vary slightly from piece to piece. This edition is dressed in rich greens with bright floral and feather patterns.
Blending reposado and añejo brings together the brightness of rested agave and the roundness of longer oak ageing, for a smooth tequila with gentle sweetness and spice.
