D'USSÉ VSOP is a bold, full-bodied Cognac naturally aged at least four and a half years and made from a selection of the finest eaux-de-vie, including some matured in the cellars of the Château de Cognac, bottled at 80 proof (40% ABV) in a 375ml flask.
D'USSÉ is crafted at the Château de Cognac, one of the oldest Cognac houses in France, and was co-founded by Shawn “Jay-Z” Carter. Its signature cross, in gold relief on the bottle, has made it one of the most recognizable Cognacs in the world.
Natural aging produces a uniquely powerful Cognac with bold intensity and a pleasantly smooth, balanced finish, distinctively bold yet remarkably smooth. Like all Cognac, it is made from white grapes grown in the Cognac region, double distilled in copper pot stills and aged in French oak.
A palate-arousing bouquet rich in woody notes is layered with cinnamon and floral touches. The palate is velvety, with spice, almond, dried apricot, vanilla and toasted oak, and the finish is a medium-long afterglow of dried fruit and oak.
D'USSÉ VSOP is excellent neat in a tulip glass, or over a large ice cube with an orange twist. It also shines in cocktails: try D'USSÉ and lemonade with a lemon wheel, a Champagne Sparkler topped with brut bubbly, a classic Sidecar with orange liqueur and lemon, or a smooth Cognac Old Fashioned. Pair it with dark chocolate, roasted nuts, aged Comté, duck or a rich steak dinner.
