The 5 Year Old is a blend of aged rums from the Uitvlugt Savalle still and the Enmore wooden Coffey still, aged for a minimum of five years in bourbon oak barrels in Guyana's tropical climate, which draws rich flavor and a deep amber color from the wood.
Expect toasted brown sugar, butterscotch, toffee and a hint of cinnamon on the nose. The palate brings brown sugar, vanilla, spicy oak and dried fruit with a touch of Demerara smoke, and the finish is dry with lingering vanilla.
