El Luchador Reposado is a traditional reposado tequila, the second stage of El Luchador's evolution, aged in white oak barrels and bottled at 80 proof (40% ABV).
A new take on a classic, the reposado gains complexity and finesse from its time in white oak, building on the brand's bright, agave-forward style. The lucha libre-inspired label pays tribute to Mexico's wrestling tradition.
Roasted agave, bright citrus and vanilla are the hallmarks of this reposado, balanced and smooth.
The bold luchador label makes it a fun gift.
Reposado, meaning rested, is tequila aged between two months and a year in oak, which gives it a pale gold colour and a gentle touch of wood while keeping the agave bright and lively.
Tequila can only be made from blue Weber agave in five designated Mexican states, chiefly Jalisco, and the finest bottlings are made from 100% agave. Sipping tequila is best enjoyed from a narrow-rimmed glass that concentrates the aromas, at room temperature and without salt or lime, so the character of the agave and the barrel can come through.
Reposado tequila rests in oak for at least two months, gaining color and gentle wood notes.
White oak barrels lend vanilla and a touch of caramel to the agave.
Its balanced profile works equally well neat or mixed.
A squeeze of grapefruit and a splash of soda make an easy Paloma.
Serve it in a copita to appreciate the citrus and vanilla.
Lucha libre fans will love the playful label.
