El Recuerdo 5" KO Limited Edition Reposado is a 100% Espadín mezcal from Oaxaca, hand crafted and distilled in a copper pot still, rested in new American oak barrels and bottled at 80 proof (40% ABV).
The release is an homage, a memento and a celebration of courage, hard work, talent, tradition and quality. It pays tribute to one of the most memorable nights in UFC history, which took place in Las Vegas on July 6, 2019. In honour of that fight, the mezcal was aged five months in new American oak and finished in the bottle with five gusanos, and only 5,000 bottles were produced.
It pours a golden hue from its time in oak. The aroma brings cooked agave with a harmonious blend of herbal, citrus and vanilla notes and subtle smoke, and the finish begins with a slight astringency before a spicy, pleasingly fiery crescendo that lingers.
