Espolòn Reposado is a 100% blue Weber agave tequila from the highlands of Jalisco, aged for at least two months in American oak barrels and bottled at 80 proof (40% ABV).
Espolòn celebrates the storied culture of Mexico through classic 19th-century artistry and the iconic rooster, a symbol of national pride. Its labels, illustrated in the style of Mexican printmaking, follow the characters Guadalupe, Rosarita and Ramón the Rooster through real moments in Mexican history. The Reposado label recreates the Mexican mercado, a long-lasting institution where art and commerce collide.
The tequila is made from hand-harvested blue Weber agave from the Los Altos highlands of Jalisco. Espolòn was first launched in 1998 and relaunched in the US in 2010, and the Reposado has since won Gold at the 2011 San Francisco World Spirits Competition and Best in Show at the 2024 TAG Global Spirits Awards.
The time in American oak softens the spirit without erasing its identity. Aromas of cooked agave and citrus are complemented by notes of spicy caramel fudge, and the palate is bold and medium-to-full bodied, with hints of tropical fruit, vanilla and warming spice before a finish of oak and white pepper.
Delicate and complex, it is the brand's unofficial best tequila for a Margarita, and equally good neat, on the rocks or in a Paloma at golden hour.
