Espolòn Tequila Blanco is an unaged, 100% blue Weber agave tequila from the Highlands of Jalisco, double distilled in column and pot stills and bottled at 80 proof (40% ABV).
Created in the highlands of Jalisco as a tequila for the people, Espolòn is inspired by and a tribute to Mexican culture. It launched in 1998, is made at Destiladora San Nicolás in Los Altos, and is now part of the Campari Group. Its eye-catching labels are based on 19th-century engravings in the style of José Guadalupe Posada and depict Ramón the rooster, along with the skeletal figures of Guadalupe and Rosarita, legendary heroes of Mexico's struggle for independence.
Espolòn Blanco is the purest expression of the brand. It is handcrafted from 100% blue Weber agave, cooked without diffusers, and double distilled using both column and pot stills to give it a smooth, balanced taste.
Crystal clear with a platinum cast, it opens with sweet agave, tropical fruit and lemon zest. A hint of pepper leads to a soft, light-to-medium-bodied palate, and notes of vanilla bean and grilled pineapple make for a stylish, clean finish.
Start every tequila cocktail with it: shake a Margarita or build a Paloma, or enjoy it neat or shaken over ice.
Blanco tequila is bottled unaged or rested for less than two months, so it shows the agave at its purest: bright, peppery and fresh. It is the classic choice for margaritas and palomas, and a good blanco is just as rewarding sipped neat.
